This tiny fossil of this dinosaur one of the two main groups of ankylosaurs, may have been a baby . Unlikely any other ankylosaurus , lianingosaurs had armor on its belly not just on its back and sides . Liaoningosaurus was named after the province of Lioning , in China where the Yixia Formation is being excavated . The feathered dinosaurs of China were found in this same formation , which is known for its exceptional preservation of fossil
