Description
Also known as the leaf nose moray eel or bernis eel , it resembled a mythical Chinese dragon with a long, thin body and high dorsal fins .
They can easily be recognized by their expended anterior nostrils
They are usually seen with only their heads protruding from holes in reefs and preying on small fish .
The Ribbon eel attracts their prey with their flared nostrils then clamps their prey with they set of strong jaws before retreating into their burrows .
