Blobfish facts

Scientific name: Psychrolutes Marcious

Commonly Found:  Australia& Tasmania Oceans
Length up to 10ft
As the name suggests, this fish resembles a blob. The BLobfish is  a  deep sea fish that lives at depths between 2000-4000ft where the pressure is 60-120 time as great as at sea level , which would likely make gas bladders inefficient for maintaining buoyancy . But in this case , the Blobfish's gelatinous appearance is actually a brilliant adaption as its gooey, pudding  like flesh allows it to stay buoyant at depths where gaseous bladders can't function
