Atlantic Blue Marlin


It feed on a wide variety of organisms near the surface by swimming as fast as 80 km/h ( 50 mph) using its bill to stun injure or kill while knifing through a school of fish or other prey , then returns to eat the injured or stunned fish. Viewed from above its blue skin blends in with then ocean while the underside merges with the sun -light surface from below , greatly helping in hide from sharks and killer whales its only natural enemies. Despite this they are considered a threatened species dew to over fishing , mainly because it is a highly prized game fish.
